From South Bend to Kokomo, the Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) bus tour is taking its “Votes Have Consequences” message to voters in key Indiana congressional districts.
The tour will stop Thursday in two Indiana districts represented by pro-life Democrats Rep. Joe Donnelly and Rep. Barron Hill, who voted for President Obama’s pro-abortion health care reform law.
The blue and white bus –which prominently features photographs of pro-life Democrat Representatives who “sold out” and voted for the pro-abortion health care bill – will also make stops in cities in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
“Despite the fact that they say they are pro-life,” said Tom Minnery, senior vice president of government and public policy for CitizenLink, “they voted for the biggest expansion of abortion this country has ever seen.”
A recent poll conducted by SBA List shows that by a 2-to-1 ratio, Indiana residents do not want the federal government to pay for abortion.
Marilyn Musgrave, program director of the project, said that voters are not fooled for one minute by the President Obama’s executive order that he claims prevents taxpayer dollars from funding abortion.
“It’s not a good year if you have lied to your constituents about your pro-life stand,” said Musgrave. “There will be consequences in November.”
