Billionaire George Soros Goes on Offense, Attacks Tea Party Movement

by CitizenLink Staff

Seeing the polling data for this year’s election, billionaire George Soros has teamed with liberal groups in an attempt to minimize Democrat losses – by attacking the wildly successful Tea Party movement.

Soros launched on Wednesday a new website – www.teapartytracker.org – to undercut the movement’s effectiveness prior to the Nov. 2 elections.

According to the site, its mission is to search out “racism and other forms of extremism within the Tea Party movement. We call on the Tea Party to repudiate extremists among their ranks and join in civil dialogue with all Americans.”

However, the track-record of Soros-related organizations – the Center for American Progress, Media Matters, New Left Media and Think Progress – that will likely provide content for the site, is less than reliable.

If past is prologue, this effort may fall flat.

As The Washington Examiner‘s Mark Tapscott wrote on April 11:

“Recall ‘Crash the Tea Party,’ an effort exposed earlier this year, designed to portray the Tea Party as racists and reactionary throwbacks. Tea Party hating liberals ‘couldn’t sell the transparently nonsensical idea that Tea Partiers are just a bunch of racists, homophobes and morons, so the Crash the Party agents on the Left are infiltrating the Tea Party in order to pose as a bunch of racists, homophobes and morons.’”
