Recruiting Kids? Read It In Their Own Words

All too often when parents have dared to express sincere concerns about homosexuality lessons being promoted to their children in public schools, they’re met with skepticism– or even worse, derided as ignorant and accused of using fear-mongering tactics.

U.S. Department of Education Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings—who also founded GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network—ridiculed concerns of “fundamentalists” as “total nonsense” and said “these folks are total hypocrites” in an article he wrote for the Huffington Post.

He levied similar accusations in a speech made several years ago, stating that “It’s easy to panic people if you make them think that they’re after your kids.”

But guess what? Now people in his own political camp are openly acknowledging that—actually—yes, they do in fact want to indoctrinate kids.

That’s pretty much the headline of an article written by a gay activist, entitled ” Can We Please Start Admitting That We Do Actually Want to Indoctrinate Kids? (We covered this issue in this week’s CitizenLink report video. To watch, click here.)

Due to the explicit images on the website, and the article’s graphic sexual references, we have not posted a direct link. But these excerpts from the article give you the general idea:

  • “Recruiting children? You bet we are. Why would we push anti-bullying programs or social studies classes that teach kids about the historical contribution of famous queers unless we wanted to deliberately educate children to accept queer sexuality as normal?”

 

  •  “I and a lot of other people want to indoctrinate, recruit, teach and expose children to queer sexuality—AND THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT.”  

The author then goes on to assert that those who disagree with this viewpoint are just “ignorant, hateful little morons.”

Aside from the obvious irony of using name-calling tactics to stereotype an entire group of people in the name of fighting for “equality” and tolerance, there’s another obvious problem with this statement.

And that is the audacious assertion that taxpayer funded, public schools exist as tools for advocacy groups to impose a political, sexualized agenda on school children–whether parents like it or not.

There is nothing fair-minded or equal about that viewpoint.

But this columnist is not the first one to openly admit to that radical agenda.

This March, Dan Savage, the founder of the nationwide “It Gets Better” campaign—which enjoyed national media and high-powered political support (even President Obama filmed a clip for it)–also made statements acknowledging his real goal:

“The whole point of the campaign is that we’re not waiting for permission anymore to talk to your kid, whether you want us to or not,” he said in an interview with Salon magazine.

This is particularly disturbing given Dan Savage’s reputation as a one of the nation’s most explicit sex columinists.  In a book called Savage Love: Straight Answers from America’s Most Popular Sex Columnist, he writes about the influence porn magazines had during his formative years—and shares the extremely vulgar advice he has given about multiple forms of sexual experimentation and fetishes.

Not exactly the person you want giving your child sexual advice or serving as a mentor.

Comments like this, though, from inside the movement itself, remove the veil of political correctness that has long hidden the fact that there is an aggressive agenda behind many of these so-called tolerance and safe schools programs. When you dig beneath the surface and all of the nice sounding words–there is often a bold attempt to familiarize very young kids with same-sex experimentation and concepts like gay marriage against the majority of parents’ will.

But this information isn’t shared in order to shock or dishearten you. It should instead, embolden and inspire you with the facts—and the knowledge that, you, as a parent and a taxpaying community citizen, not only have a constitutional right, but also a God-given responsibility, to protect your children. You have a logical, well-founded reason to start asking questions.

So let these facts inspire you with the confidence you need to approach your educators and ask them, politely yet firmly, to see the curriculum, programs, videos and other materials being presented to your children.
