A two-day conference designed to help attendees be a voice for those in need, will be held at New Life Church in Colorado Springs March 8-9. Registration is free if you register online. Cost is $25 at the door.
The Life and Justice Conference will focus on the dignity of preborn children, orphans, immigrants, those with special needs, the elderly and victims of human trafficking. The event’s sponsors are Focus on the Family, Children’s Hope Chest, iEmpathize and New Life Church. Focus President Jim Daly is one of the event’s keynote speakers.
“Life and Justice will intentionally reach out to advocates for justice and for the dignity of human life at all stages,” said Betsy Powell, Focus program director of Content and Communication for Sanctity of Human Life.
On Thursday, Focus and Christianity Today magazine will host a 60-minute roundtable discussion with leaders from some of the groups represented at the conference. The talk will be streamed live on ChristianityToday.com at 7 p.m. ET.
Conference-goers will also be able to attend various breakout sessions that will flesh out strategies for prevention, intervention and concrete “next steps” to take in their journey to stand for life.
“We don’t want people to leave the conference just being better educated about issues,” Powell said. “We want to equip people to reflect God’s heart for the hurting and helpless through tangible, practical action.”
