Family Policy Alliance Endorses Banks, Cotton Bill to Protect Minors

The Protecting Minors from Medical Malpractice Act would protect children from transgender interventions

Family Policy Alliance is pleased to endorse the Protecting Minors from Medical Malpractice Act, introduced today by Rep. Jim Banks (R—IN) and sponsored by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) in the Senate. Rep. Banks is Chairman of the Republican Study Committee (RSC) and an alum of Family Policy Foundation’s Statesmen Academy.

The legislation protects minors from transgender interventions and reflects the principles of Family Policy Alliance’s Help Not Harm campaign.

Statement from Joseph Kohm, Director of Public Policy for Family Policy Alliance:

“Children who are hurting and struggling need real help, not harm. Instead, more children are pressured every day into transition by politicized medicine. Every day, youth around the country are endangered by transgender interventions that can leave them sterile, missing healthy body parts, and filled with regret. We wholeheartedly support today’s legislation designed to protect minors from this harmful and hurtful agenda.”
