ObamaCare Lawsuits Heat Up

With the Obama administration’s refusal to back away from a mandate forcing religious groups to indirectly pay for and provide contraception and drugs that can cause abortion through insurance plans, lawsuits against the federal government are moving forward on two levels — and they’re gaining steam.

On Monday, 43 Republican U.S. senators filed an amicus brief on a case currently pending at the U.S. Supreme Court — that challenging the law’s “individual mandate,” which compels private citizens to buy health insurance or pay a fine.
